רבי משה איסרליש מקרקוב, שכתב את המפה על השולחן ערוך והכניס בו את מנהג אשכנז. בזכותו נעשה השולחן ערוך ספר הפסיקה של כלל ישראל.

Rabbi Moshe Isserles of Krakow, who wrote the Mapah glosses on the Shulchan Aruch, adding the Ashkenazic custom. Through him the Shulchan Aruch became the code for all Israel, Sephardic and Ashkenazic alike.
