עבדו הנאמן של אברהם ומנהל ביתו, ״דמשק אליעזר״, שחכמים אמרו עליו שהיה ״דולה ומשקה מתורת רבו לאחרים״, מפיץ את אמונת אברהם לכל באי הבית. כששלחו אברהם למצוא אישה ליצחק, הראה נאמנות שאין כמותה: כשהושם לפניו שולחן ערוך אמר ״לא אֹכל עד אם דיברתי דברי״, לא אטעם דבר עד שאשלים את שליחות אדוני. חז״ל מנו אותו בין באי גן עדן בחייהם.
Avraham's trusted servant and steward of his household, "Damesek Eliezer," of whom the sages said he "drew from his master's Torah and gave others to drink," spreading Avraham's faith to everyone who entered the tent. Sent to find a wife for Yitzchak, he showed rare devotion: when a full table was set before him he declared, "I will not eat until I have told my errand," refusing to taste a thing before completing his master's mission. The rabbis counted him among the few who entered the Garden of Eden in their lifetime.
