יליד גדרה (1889), משורר ולוחם, ממייסדי מחתרת ניל״י. בינואר 1917 יצא ברגל דרך מדבר סיני אל הקווים הבריטיים ונהרג בדרך. אחרי מלחמת ששת הימים נמצאו שרידיו מתחת לעץ דקל שצמח, לפי המסופר, מגרעין תמר שהיה בכיסו, והוא נטמן בהר הרצל.
Born in Gedera in 1889, a poet and fighter and a founder of the NILI underground. In January 1917 he set out on foot across the Sinai desert toward the British lines and was killed on the way. After the Six-Day War his remains were found beneath a palm tree that, as the story is told, had grown from a date pit in his pocket, and he was laid to rest on Mount Herzl.
