ליבון דברי המשנה בידי דורות האמוראים, שקלא וטריא של הלכה, אגדה, מוסר וסוד. התלמוד הירושלמי נחתם בארץ ישראל (~ד׳ק״י), והתלמוד הבבלי, הגדול והמקיף, נחתם בבבל בשנת ד׳ר״ס לערך: ״רבינא ורב אשי סוף הוראה״. הוא ספר הלימוד המרכזי של עם ישראל עד היום.
The searching analysis of the Mishnah by generations of Amoraim, halachah, narrative, ethics and mystery interwoven. The Jerusalem Talmud was sealed in the Land of Israel (c. 350 CE), and the greater Babylonian Talmud in Babylonia c. 500 CE. It remains the central text of Jewish study to this day.
