The Three Pilgrimage Festivals

The three festivals on which Israel would journey up to the Temple in Jerusalem: Passover, the festival of freedom and the Exodus from Egypt; Shavuot, the festival of the giving of the Torah; and Sukkot, the festival of dwelling in booths, recalling the clouds of glory in the wilderness. Each binds the people to a founding moment of its history.
