The Sages' literature expounding the verses of Scripture, law and narrative alike: Mechilta, Sifra and Sifrei, Midrash Rabbah, Tanchuma, Yalkut Shimoni and more. Within it lie the stories of the generations and the depths of the verses: "Do you wish to know Him who spoke and the world came to be? Study aggadah."
